The logistics industries we serve
F5 is a digital marketing agency for logistics companies, based in Miami and working with nothing else. We plan SEO, AI search visibility, outbound and lead generation around the freight you move and the way you sell it.
Logistics companies we work with
Where the playbook comes from
Why we split it
Built inside a forwarder, not next to one
F5 was founded by Iván Tintoré, co-founder of iContainers, one of the first digital freight forwarders, and Oriol Lampreave, who built its inbound engine from scratch as CMO: thousands of route pages ranking on Google (SEO), content, and every lead tracked to revenue in the CRM.
That is where we learned that a forwarder, a 3PL and a drayage carrier sell to different people. Every plan starts from two facts: the freight you move and the way you sell it.
Our story- 2008 Founded in Barcelona to book ocean freight online
- $6.7M Round in 2016. TechCrunch: “the Expedia for transporting freight”
- 1M Visits a month, most of them from organic search

Door 1 · By the freight you move
Marketing by logistics industry
Each mode of freight is searched and bought differently. For every industry: the first lever F5 pulls and the services it leads with.
-
Trucking and drayage
Corridor search, a Google Business Profile that wins the map, and proof from the lanes you already run.

-
Ocean shipping and ports
Route and port pages with frequency and transit time, and outbound timed to tender season.

What the mode changes
The freight decides where buyers look
-
On the map
Trucking, drayage, warehousing and last mile are bought close to home. Buyers search a city, a port or a corridor, and the Google Business Profile often gets the call before the website does.
-
On the lane
Ocean and rail are bought route by route. Buyers compare frequency, transit time and cut-offs, and they shortlist the providers that answer those three things clearly, in search and in AI answers.
-
On the proof
Cold chain and regulated freight are bought by quality teams as much as by procurement. Certifications, validation and incident history decide the shortlist.
Case studies · what the model changes
The business model decides who signs
A forwarder sells to importers comparing quotes by lane. A customs broker sells to importers with a problem this week. A software company sells to planners and IT. Here is what that looked like for four clients.
Interworld Freight, a freight forwarder and NVOCC in Miami, came to F5 with a website that generated nothing. We rebuilt it, targeted the trade lanes their shippers search for, and made the website their main business development channel.

“They understand tariffs and trade compliance well enough to write about it; we only need to correct small details.”

Door 2 · By the way you sell
Marketing by type of logistics company

FAQ
Questions about marketing by vertical
What does F5 do for logistics companies?
+
What does F5 do for logistics companies?
+F5 is a marketing agency in Miami that works only with logistics companies: freight forwarders, 3PLs, freight brokers, carriers, customs brokers and supply chain software companies. It plans SEO, AI search visibility, outbound, lead generation and websites around two facts: the freight a company moves and the way it sells it.
Do you only work with logistics companies?
+
Do you only work with logistics companies?
+Yes. F5 works with freight forwarders, 3PLs, carriers, customs brokers and logistics software companies, and nothing else. It is the only industry we know from the inside, and the reason our plans start from how your buyer chooses a provider instead of from a generic funnel.
Why does marketing change from one logistics vertical to another?
+
Why does marketing change from one logistics vertical to another?
+Because the buyer changes. A forwarder sells to importers comparing quotes by lane, a 3PL sells to brands that switch providers rarely, and a drayage company sells to forwarders at one port. Each one searches, compares and signs differently, so the channels and the message have to follow.
What is the difference between an industry and a company type?
+
What is the difference between an industry and a company type?
+The industry is the freight a company moves: trucking, ocean, rail, warehousing, cold chain or last mile. The company type is how it sells that freight: as a forwarder, a 3PL, a broker, a customs broker or a software company. Most marketing plans need both answers.
My company covers several of these verticals. Where do we start?
+
My company covers several of these verticals. Where do we start?
+With the service that has the best margin and the clearest buyer. F5 builds the positioning, pages and pipeline for that line first, then extends the same system to the next one, so each vertical has its own pages instead of one page trying to rank for everything.
Which services do you use for each vertical?
+
Which services do you use for each vertical?
+The same six: SEO, inbound marketing, outbound marketing, lead generation, website design and B2B digital marketing. What changes is the mix. A customs broker usually leans on search and regulatory content, a freight broker on outbound, a 3PL on proof of capability and lead generation.
How do you measure whether it is working?
+
How do you measure whether it is working?
+By pipeline, not traffic. F5 sets up the CRM so every quote request is tracked by lane and service, and each month shows which pages, lists and campaigns turned into opportunities and revenue. The metrics that matter are cost per qualified lead and pipeline by lane.
Do you also build the website?
+
Do you also build the website?
+Yes. Many logistics websites cannot convert because they do not show lanes, equipment or capacity (the pages every logistics site needs). When the site is the bottleneck, F5 rebuilds it as part of the plan, as it did for Interworld Freight, CargoTrans and ExFreight.
Who is behind F5?
+
Who is behind F5?
+F5 was founded by Iván Tintoré, co-founder of the digital freight forwarder iContainers, and Oriol Lampreave, who built the iContainers inbound engine as its CMO. iContainers reached a million visits a month and was acquired by Agility Logistics Group in 2019.
