The logistics awards most worth entering in the US are the FreightWaves FreightTech 100 and AI Excellence in Supply Chain Award, the Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PL list, the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know and Women in Supply Chain awards, Food Logistics’ Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers, the Women in Trucking Top Companies list, Best Fleets to Drive For, the TCA Fleet Safety Awards and the EPA SmartWay Excellence Awards.
Each award below was checked against the organizer’s own page or a current announcement in October 2026. Where an organizer states a deadline, the month is given. Where it does not, the entry says so. Programs reset every year, so use the months as a planning calendar and confirm the dates with the organizer before preparing an entry.

The thirteenth program, Logistics Management’s Quest for Quality, is covered in the section on shipper-vote awards below.
Which awards suit freight brokers, forwarders and 3PLs?
For brokers, forwarders and 3PLs, the best fits are the Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PL list, the FreightTech 100 for technology-led brokerages, Food Logistics’ Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers and Quest for Quality.
Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PL Providers is an annual editorial selection published in the July issue. 3PLs including PLS Logistics, Capstone Logistics, CTSI-Global and MODE Global announced a place on the 2026 list, so it is a credential 3PLs actively promote. A related Readers’ Choice: Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards program is decided by reader ballots.
FreightTech 100 suits brokerages and forwarders with their own technology. FreightWaves announced the 2026 honorees would be celebrated at the inaugural F3 Awards Dinner on October 26 in Chattanooga, with the top 25 revealed live.
Food Logistics’ Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers is for companies in the cold food chain, so it is relevant to refrigerated warehousing and cold chain 3PLs.
Which awards suit trucking companies and fleets?
For fleets, the best fits are Best Fleets to Drive For, the Women in Trucking Top Companies list, the TCA Fleet Safety Awards and the SmartWay Excellence Awards, because they measure driver experience, safety and emissions.
Best Fleets to Drive For is run by CarriersEdge. A fleet with 10 or more tractor-trailers is nominated by its own drivers or independent contractors, then completes a questionnaire and interview covering pay, benefits, communication and work-life balance. The program has no fee. Winners are recognized at a conference in Kansas City on April 5-6, 2027.
Women In Trucking Top Companies requires a $595 nomination fee that, per the organizer, covers processing, a plaque, logo licensing and a press kit. Companies share a voting link with their workforce and stakeholders, and the 30 companies with the most votes become the Elite 30.
TCA Fleet Safety Awards are open to TCA member carriers and are judged on accident data and mileage in six mileage-based divisions, with two grand prizes announced at TCA’s annual convention.
SmartWay Excellence Awards recognize what EPA describes as the top two percent of SmartWay partners, among more than 4,000 shippers and truck carriers. Carriers and shippers cannot simply enter: EPA reviews each partner’s SmartWay Tool submission and invites semifinalists to apply.
Fleet awards also support recruiting. A Best Fleets or Women in Trucking badge on a careers page tells a candidate what drivers say about the company, which complements the tactics in our guide to recruiting CDL drivers.
Which awards recognize people and technology?
Individual and technology awards include Pros to Know, the Women in Supply Chain Forum Award, the FreightTech 100 and the AI Excellence in Supply Chain Award.
Pros to Know is run by Supply & Demand Chain Executive and recognizes executives. It has categories including Top Procurement Pros, Top Transportation Innovators, Rising Stars and Leaders in Excellence. It is a strong low-cost option for a founder or sales leader.
Women in Supply Chain Forum Award is free to enter. It is open to executives, operators, managers and truck drivers, and has four categories including a Workforce Innovator category.
AI Excellence in Supply Chain Award from FreightWaves honored 15 companies in 2026 across AI Solution Providers and Operational AI Integrations, and winners were announced at the Supply Chain AI Symposium in Chicago on July 15, 2026.
Which awards come from shipper votes rather than entries?
Quest for Quality, from Logistics Management, is decided by shipper votes, so a company cannot enter it but can prepare for it by serving customers well and asking them to vote.
The 43rd annual Quest for Quality awards were announced in August 2026, with 147 providers recognized. Voters must have used a carrier within the past year and be subscribed to Logistics Management, and voting is by invitation. Providers are rated on on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations. To win, a provider needs at least 5 percent of the votes cast in its category. Are logistics awards worth entering?
Logistics awards are worth entering when the audience that reads the list matches the buyers or recruits the company wants, because the value is third-party proof, not the trophy.
- Sales credibility. A shipper’s procurement team that sees an independent list can verify the claim in seconds. This supports the proof points covered in our guide to logistics branding.
- Sales collateral. A badge on a proposal, quote email or website trust bar answers “why you?” before it is asked.
- Recruiting. Driver and workplace awards (Best Fleets, Women in Trucking) speak directly to candidates.
- Entity mentions. Awards produce pages on third-party domains that name the company next to its category. Those mentions are the type of source that AI assistants and search engines draw on, as explained in GEO for logistics companies.
- Cost control. Fees are real (the FreightTech 100 charges $595, the AI Excellence award $450 and the Women in Trucking list $595), so enter two or three that match the target audience instead of every award.
How do you write a winning award entry?
A winning entry states a measurable result, names the customer or driver benefit and proves it with data the judges can check. Most programs score evidence, not adjectives.
- Open with one result. For example, on-time performance, damage claims, driver turnover or emissions per ton-mile, compared with the prior year.
- Use verifiable numbers. Use figures the company can document. Judges at programs like SmartWay score the evidence and documentation behind each claim.
- Add customer proof. A named reference or a short testimonial, with permission.
- Match the criteria. Use the organizer’s category language, such as the five Quest for Quality criteria or the Best Fleets topics (pay, benefits, communication, work-life balance).
- Keep it short and specific. Women in Trucking, for instance, asks for a 75-word explanation. Tight answers read better than long ones.
How do you market an award win?
Announce an award in the first week, on the website, in a press release and on LinkedIn, then keep using it in sales material for the full year the award applies.
- Press release with the organizer’s name, the award name, the year and the criterion that was met.
- Website trust bar and About page with the badge, linked to the organizer’s list.
- LinkedIn posts from the company and from the executives who were named.
- Sales deck, proposal template and email signature updated with the badge.
- Customer and driver thank-you note, which also serves as a reason to contact accounts.
Check the organizer’s logo license first. The Women in Trucking fee covers logo licensing rights, and other programs have their own rules for badge use.
How can you spot a pay-to-play award?
A pay-to-play award sells the trophy rather than judging the entry. The warning signs are no published criteria, no named judges or methodology, winners in nearly every entry, and fees for “plaques” with no process behind them.
Some legitimate programs charge a nomination fee, so a fee alone is not a red flag. Check what the fee covers and how winners are chosen.
- Published criteria and selection method: reader votes, editorial review, scored evidence or measured data.
- A track record: previous winner lists on the organizer’s own site, and coverage by other trade media.
- A relevant audience: the organizer is a trade publication, association or agency that logistics buyers or drivers know.
- No pressure: be wary of unsolicited “you have been selected” emails that ask for payment to receive the award.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best awards for a 3PL?
The Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PL Providers list and Food Logistics’ Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers are the main 3PL-specific lists. Quest for Quality adds a shipper-voted credential.
Are there awards for trucking companies?
Yes. The main ones are Best Fleets to Drive For, Women In Trucking’s Top Companies list, the TCA Fleet Safety Awards and the EPA SmartWay Excellence Awards. Each rates a different quality: driver experience, workplace for women, safety record or emissions performance.
Do logistics awards cost money to enter?
It depends on the program. Best Fleets to Drive For and the Women in Supply Chain Forum Award are free, while the FreightTech 100 ($595), the AI Excellence in Supply Chain Award ($450) and the Women in Trucking Top Companies list ($595) charge nomination fees.
When are supply chain award nominations due?
Dates vary by program. In 2026 the Women in Supply Chain window closed in June, the AI Excellence deadline was in July, FreightTech 100 nominations closed in late summer, and Best Fleets nominations run through October. Check each organizer for the next cycle.
Can an individual win a logistics award?
Yes. Pros to Know and the Women in Supply Chain Forum Award recognize individual executives, operators and managers, and Pros to Know has a Rising Stars category.
