NetSuite and Salesforce Integration

Connectors such as Celigo and Breadwinner cover the classic quote-to-cash flow. A logistics company also needs the shipment in the middle. We set up the connector or build the sync, so Salesforce shows margin, credit and freight per account.

Logistics companies we work with

  • Interworld Freight
  • CargoTrans
  • Exfreight
  • Stowlog
  • Trucks on the Map

Quick answer

How do you integrate NetSuite with Salesforce?

You integrate NetSuite with Salesforce with a connector, such as Celigo's Salesforce and NetSuite integration app or Breadwinner, or with a custom build on SuiteTalk and the Salesforce API. Connectors sync accounts, opportunities, sales orders and financials. For logistics we add the shipment: TMS shipments and their margin become records related to the Salesforce account.

SuiteTalk REST and SuiteQL to the Salesforce API
Auth
NetSuite OAuth 2.0 or tokens; Salesforce connected app (OAuth)
Objects

How we approach it

Connector or custom build: how we decide

If your process is opportunity, sales order, invoice, a connector does it and we recommend one. Celigo runs on its integrator.io platform with a NetSuite bundle; Breadwinner presents itself as a native app. Both are proven for that flow.

Logistics breaks the classic flow, because one opportunity becomes dozens of shipments with their own charges and costs. That is the part we build: shipments as a custom object on the account, margin rolled up per month, and credit status from NetSuite on the account page, so Flows can stop a quote to a customer on hold.

Celigo, Breadwinner or SuiteTalk: which route fits a logistics company?

All three work. The choice depends on how far beyond quote-to-cash you need to go.

Data mapping

How do NetSuite orders, invoices and shipments map to Salesforce?

Each record lands where Salesforce reports and Flows can use it.

  • Account

    From: NetSuite customer

To: Salesforce account with NetSuite ID

    When: Customer created or updated

  • Opportunity

    From: Salesforce opportunity won

To: NetSuite sales order or estimate

    When: Stage closed won

  • Invoice

    From: NetSuite invoice

To: Custom object related to the account

    When: Invoice created or paid

  • Shipment

    From: TMS shipment with margin

To: Custom object related to account and opportunity

    When: Shipment booked or closed

  • Credit status

From: NetSuite credit limit and hold

To: Account fields used by Flows

    When: Limit or hold changed

What sales and marketing get

What are the benefits of integrating NetSuite with Salesforce?

What our team builds

What can F5 build on NetSuite and Salesforce?

Anything with an API, an EDI feed, a database or a file export can be connected. If the connector you found stops short, our engineers build the rest, from the first data map to the system in production.

Why logistics teams hire F5 for NetSuite

  • Logistics first. We know how a shipment becomes an invoice and where margin leaks, so the data map starts from your operation, not from a generic ERP template.
  • One team for engineering and growth. The people who build the integration also run campaigns on that data, so every field we sync has a sales or marketing use.
  • Any system, any stack. APIs, SOAP and XML, EDI, databases, SFTP files and legacy on-premise systems. If the data exists, we can move it.
  • Production standards. Monitoring, alerting, documentation and a handover your IT team can read. We support the build after launch.
  • Scope before code. You get a data map and a build plan first, so you know what moves, in which direction and on which trigger before anything is built.

How NetSuite and Salesforce integration projects run

  1. Step 1

    Map the data

We list the NetSuite records your sales and marketing teams need, agree the field mapping and decide which system owns each field.

  2. Step 2

    Connect and test

We build the connection on the NetSuite interface your account licenses, with retries, logging and a test run on real records before go-live.

  3. Step 3

    Turn data into pipeline

Dashboards, workflows and alerts in the CRM, so reps see shipments next to deals and marketing sees which campaigns produced revenue.

  4. Step 4

    Monitor and extend

Error alerts, schema changes and new objects as you grow, with one team accountable for the integration and the marketing that uses it.

FAQ

NetSuite Salesforce integration FAQ

Does NetSuite integrate with Salesforce?

+

Yes, but not natively. You connect them with a connector such as Celigo or Breadwinner, or with a custom integration on SuiteTalk and the Salesforce API.

How do you integrate Salesforce with NetSuite?

+

Pick the route first. For standard quote-to-cash, install a connector and map accounts, opportunities and orders. For shipments, margin and credit, build on SuiteTalk REST and the Salesforce API under a connected app. Many logistics companies run both.

Is the Oracle NetSuite Connector a Salesforce integration?

+

No. Oracle NetSuite Connector, formerly FarApp, links NetSuite to ecommerce, marketplace, 3PL and POS systems, not to Salesforce.

Which Salesforce editions work with NetSuite connectors?

+

Celigo's app supports Salesforce Enterprise edition and above. Custom builds need API access, which Professional edition does not include by default. Tell us your edition during scoping. See the NetSuite integration page.
